If you have a specific arrangement that you prefer for the transaction list or Quick Edit list, you can create a view and set it as your default view. Then, every time you access the list, the transactions will appear according to the column configuration and sort order that you have established. Default views may be set for each category or subcategory. A subcategory inherits the default view from the category, but you may change it. If you do not set a default view, the system-created view remains the default.
Note: Shared views may be set as default views by users other than the author; however, the author is the only user who can edit or delete the view. Any changes to the shared view, including deletion of the view, affect all the users of that view. If the shared view is deleted, the default view reverts to the system-created view.
The instructions that follow assume you already have at least one view created or shared, and that you need to designate a default view from the list of views.
From the transaction list or Quick Edit list, choose View.
Click the view for your new default from the View Manager list.
Mark the Set as Default View option.
Choose Save Current View.
