About Export Profiles

An export profile allows you to predefine an export file for a category/subcategory and to configure the download of this file to happen automatically when transaction collections are submitted, verified, or authorized. The available file formats are Intuit® QuickBooks® (IIF) and CSV (comma-separated) including or excluding the column headings.

If you do not set up an export profile, the CSV formats are also available for on-demand export in the default field order; export profile mapping takes precedence, however, if it is present. To automatically download the QuickBooks format, you must have a QuickBooks profile established.

Note: If multiple collections in multiple categories/subcategories are selected for export, a file will be created for each category. If multiple collections in the same category/subcategory are selected, one export file will be created. Also, for a QuickBooks export file, the total credits must equal the total debits.

Note: To re-download export files (if applicable), select Previously Exported Files from the File Transfer menu.

For a QuickBooks export profile, you may map transaction fields as well as distribution lines (offsets for the transactions). The QuickBooks fields listed below may be mapped (sample mappings). All fields are optional unless otherwise noted.

In addition, if you include a Custom Field to override the TRNSTYPE field, the Custom Field value must be one of the following valid keywords:

For a CSV export profile (with or without headings), you may include transaction fields individually in the order desired for the export file.
