Editing a Transaction in Quick Edit Mode

Quick Edit mode allows you to view and edit transactions in a spreadsheet format. The instructions below explain how to edit a single-entry transaction and a split transaction from the Quick Edit page. Editing a split transaction opens the detail page so that you can make changes to the entries in the Accounts list. To return to the transaction list page, choose Cancel.

Note:  To edit the R/T number or account number after a transaction has been saved, the user must have the proper authority for the category/subcategory.

To edit a single-entry transaction in Quick Edit mode

  1. Click the category/subcategory from the application home page, or choose Transactions | <category/subcategory>.

  2. Click Quick Edit.

  3. Locate the transaction and make the necessary changes. Click Save.

  4. If you edited the effective date for a scheduled transaction, the application may assume the change is to initiate the payment ahead of the next recurring payment date and display a purple warning message. You may override the next effective date by verifying the correct scheduled date in the drop-down menu under the Next Scheduled Effective Date column, if applicable. Click Save to verify the next date.
