Adding an Export Profile to a Category/Subcategory

The Export Profile section allows you to create a standard export file format for a category/subcategory and to set up an automatic creation of this file.

 

To add an export profile

  1. From the Category Configuration List, select the category to modify.

  2. Click Add in the Export Profile section bar.

  3. Choose to create CSV (or comma-separated format) file with or without Headings, or an Intuit® QuickBooks® -formatted file.

  4. Choose an option for the automatic generation of the export file.

  5. To create a QuickBooks profile, set up the transaction mapping by selecting the field name in the right column that matches the appropriate QuickBooks field in the left column. If you need distribution lines included in the export file, set up the distribution line field mapping in a similar manner.

    To create a CSV-formatted file, set up the fields to include in the export file by selecting the desired field names from the selection box on the left. To quickly populate the file with all available fields, choose the Add All button in the middle of the page. The order displayed will be the order of the data fields in the CSV export file.

  6. Click Save. The entry appears in the Export Profile section.

  7. Choose Return to List at the top of the page. Changes made to the Export Profile section are automatically saved.
