Adding/Editing a File Import Shortcut

If you import data frequently, you may want to create a Quick Import Definition, or shortcut. In the definition record, you assign a name to the shortcut, choose the category/subcategory, and select the appropriate import map. By default, the new shortcut, with its assigned name, appears on your Home page as one of the "buttons" you can click for quick access. This shortcut takes you to the File Import page where you only have to enter the file name before continuing the import process. Shortcuts are defined per customer user; they cannot be shared between users.

To add or edit a file import shortcut

  1. Choose File Transfer | Import Data | Quick Import Definition.

  2. To add a shortcut, click Add. To edit a shortcut, click one of the fields on the specific transaction line.

  3. Complete the Quick Import Definition fields, or make the necessary modifications.

  4. Click Save.
